Her work focuses on developing personalized treatments that harness the body’s immune system to fight aggressive tumors.
After completing her undergraduate degree here, Dr. Patel earned her medical degree and PhD, specializing in molecular oncology. Her recent studies have gained international recognition, including a prestigious grant from the Wellcome Trust.
Dr. Patel credits her time at our school for instilling a strong foundation in scientific inquiry and critical thinking. “The support I received from my mentors and the rigorous curriculum really prepared me for the challenges of advanced research,” she said.
Her work not only advances medical science but also offers hope for improved cancer therapies worldwide. Dr. Patel continues to collaborate with global teams to translate her lab discoveries into clinical trials.
